Auberge de la Baie

"We loved everything about our stay here. It is right across the street from a pathway that leads you to the bridge over to Mont Saint Michel. You can walk the pathway and then take a free shuttle which is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel. We loved the walk and enjoyed seeing all the grazing sheep. This was the only hotel on our 10 day trip in France at which we purchased the breakfast. It was very reasonably priced and everything was delicious. We loved seeing all the sheep herded right past our window in the evening and then again the next morning. I would definitely recommend staying at Auberge de la Baie!"

"The hotel offers spectacular views, and the trolley stops right outside for easy trips to Mont-Saint-Michel. Our clean room also had a coffee machine, which we especially enjoyed in the morning."

"What a treat to stay right on the Mont and experience the quieter evening and early morning! Stairs to climb to a small room, which was all we needed. We could see the bay while standing at our window. Very comfortable queen size mattress. En suite bathroom was good though extremely tiny shower! The reason we gave only 4 stars is the following morning - when we arrived for breakfast at 9:33am (breakfast hours were 7:30-10:00 am) there was almost nothing left for breakfast. No scrambled eggs, no meat, no bread - all were gone and there was no effort to provide more or even apologize for the lack of items. Coffee machine was good, and there were some yogurt and a few whole eggs that one cooked in a hot water bath to become hard boiled. And some fruit. But we would recommend the hotel provide sufficient breakfast items for all their guests not just the early arrivals!"

"Staying just next to such a historic place was special in itself, for the location alone, it’s a 10/10 for me. Of course, this is not a luxury hotel from a large international chain, but for one night it was absolutely fine, comfortable enough, and exactly what I needed. The only real downside was finding something to eat late in the evening. Around 10:00 p.m., the kitchens in the area were already closed, and even with several hotels and bars nearby, there was nowhere to order food. Overall, I was happy with my stay, especially because of the incredible location."
