"The front desk people were very slow and confusing. Apparently only one of the two people knew what they were doing but she wasn’t very friendly. No one answered the phones when we tried to contact them because housekeeping skipped our rooms the second day and we had no clean towels. The pool areas and the beach access were very nice. There was a lot of construction going on and machinery noise at night. Overall, it was okay but we will probably try somewhere else next time we visit."

"My issues. No bath mats in the bathroom, Coffee machine did not work. No visible plugins for cell phones or electronics. Room to small. Telephone did not work. Bed and pillows were comfortable, Balcony was perfect. Elevators were fast and efficient. Those Floors need rugs. Angela Gibbs See you next time! 704 880 6737"

"In my oppinion this property really needs to be torn down and this is not exaggerated. The room we were in had an old chicken bone under the bed. The bedding had food grease on it. The beds were either lop sided or the middle was sinking in. Let's not forget about the joint that was found behind the mini fridge. The room smelled awful like mold. I couldn't manage to stay in that room for even an hour. Im not even going to begin to explain the hotel's parking or how terribly kept the entire building is. It was so disgusting that if someone managed to force me to stay i would never let my kids touch their pool because i cant see how clean the water is in the pool. I had my children with me and it felt neglectful to let them stay in this hotel. I should have known better because when we were waiting yo check in someone in front of me was complaining about bloodstains on the bed and so many other things I can't even remember all of them. Bottom line is if you are a clean person PLEASE DO NOT book this hotel. This may or may not be dramatic but I seriously felt like I was going to have an anxiety attack when I understood and seen the severity of the neglect at this hotel. I'm sorry I don't have any photos to post but I really couldn't think about anything else but getting out and away."

"First time staying there and will not be the last one. The weather was a little crazy the first few days but last two days were amazing. There is a very good ocean view from the hotel and having it so close to the waterfront area it’s a big plus! A lot of areas to explore without necessarily leaving the area. Restaurants are a bit pricey so be aware. Don’t leave without trying the New York style pizza… just delicious! Hotel shares 3 to 4 different buildings and guests can use any of their pools at anytime. Breakfast is located at a different building but close enough and they serve a very good continental breakfast. Hotel also includes parking lots with no extra charge. And they also provide beach towels but make sure you return them or they will charge you $25 for each. In general, a very good stay. Next time, we will try without the kids."

"Exc Excellent experience at Captains Quarters. Very clean, friendly staff and a beautiful room. Conveniently close to restaurants and entertainment. We were right above the pool and with the door closed, it was surprisingly quiet for sleeping. Great vacation accommodations!"

"Room was dirty. Dust all over. Behind the bed was dirt below the bed was dirt. Behind drawer and night stand. When asked for a clean room we were told that the guy is not moving from his counter that we are asking to much. We left early due to this issue."
