"Spacious room. Nicely decorated. Wifi was great especially since we had no signal on our phones. Firm bed. Fridge and microwave in room. Shower tub was wide and had non slip surface! Nice towels and washcloths. Cotton balls and qtips at sink. Keurig coffee maker in room. TV had some caching issues but, hey, we were up on a mountain. The office is a nice retreat with coffee, and and a peaceful atmosphere. They had 3 outdoor patios to chill out as well and many seats outside your doors. The community kichen has cookware. Game room has Nintendo, Pac-Man and Foosball. Laundry room has a washer, drier and detergent. The river access is down the block, walkable. There is a picnic table and lounge chair at the river for use. Overall this place is the perfect place to kick back, relax and forget your worries."
"Great room with proper kitchen. Nice and spacious, and the fields behind with beautiful views over the river for evening beers. (Not walkable to shops and restaurants). Great position for Sequoia National Park."
"Everything about this Lodge was great. The staff were amazing. It is difficult getting unloaded from your car due to the hill you need to climb with luggage. The staff was there to help and there are luggage racks. I wish we had been on the main floor of our building as we did need to climb a flight of staff with our gear. The only other disappointment was that again I had to deal with a Keurig machine, I just don't like them at all. They are such a waste and I believe environmentally unsound. I believe the inventor said as much. Also, these new baths are pretty but made to be very slippery. And, no grab bars in this or many hotels."
"The property in real life did not match what was seen on Expedia. The grounds are overgrown and not well maintained. The room was a fine size and the sheets were clean and bed was comfortable. However the room had an odd sort of dank smell and the air conditioner was questionable and very loud. Too loud to sleep with it on but the room would get hot in the afternoon sun without blinds to actually block any sun. There were spiderwebs up in the window which didn’t bother us but unsightly. The bathroom was fine except the shower had wall peeling and the shower curtain seemed dirty. And the curtain was definitely. Only found one small spider and little beetle I. The bathroom on day 2. At one point I spilled a little water in the bedroom so used a bath towel to wipe it up and it turned essentially black. So though you couldn’t tell it seems the floors were dirty. Close and convenient to downtown and the park which is why we booked it. But would pick the comfort in if we go again. Thought the riverfront was a draw but couldn’t even walk there it was so overgrown. And a family of squirrels seeming to guard the little culvert."
