“Very close to the centre, with restaurants and cafés. The self catering in the house was great too. The bedrooms were comfortable and there was a great living area downstairs too! The host, was very good. He organised an earlier time for us to get into the house and his directions were brilliant. We would definitely stay here again!”

“The Sykes Cottages customer service is appalling. No number to ring and the response time to the text and WhatsApp is ridiculous. The cottage was great but Sykes were not. After booking I had a problem with amending the name on the booking and getting a receipt. I was eventually told it was not possible to make amendments but it was also not possible to do this on hotels.com. Also one of our party left an iPad and is quite rightly worried about. “The house is nothing special but the bed was comfortable to sleep in and it was in the location we needed to visit family. The kitchen smelled like something was rotting, I think the bins hadn't been disposed of properly before we arrived. There also weren't any towels even though the advert says there will be. It's an okay place to stay as long as you're not expecting luxury.”
