We went when it was 60 degrees so a lot of the animals weren’t out. The zoo was huge, the playground was great for my 5 year old boys, but wished they took better care of the animal exhibits. The gorilla indoor exhibit was horrible and filled with their poop, but they had a huge space outside. Plastic Old toys and bottles were in the water of some exhibits, it was sad to see.
Not alot of animals were out and zoo needs some updating/maintenance
Didn't go this time, but I have and it was a great experience.
It's not near south padre it's about 40mins away
