“I arrived early due to my phone not working and I needed WiFi to message my sister. The host was so kind to let me in and use the WiFi and drop off my bags eventhough the room wasn't redy yet. She was very friendly and they iffered free coffee and breakfast. I felt very welcomed.”

“Das Frühstück war sehr gut. In unserem Bad ließ sich leider die Heizung nicht abstellen, deshalb mussten wir oft das Fenster öffnen und uns hat im Zimmer ein kleiner Tisch mit 2 Stühlen gefehlt. Wir haben uns einen zweiten Stuhl bei der Rezeption bestellt und auch bekommen. Wir waren mit dem Hotel und Service zufrieden und werden wiederkommen.”

“I can't fault my 3-night stay at the Halvard as a solo traveller on business. My room was well maintained, spacious and comfortable with a decent heating/aircon system that allowed me to have the temperature I like. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful throughout my stay. The food was superb with the included breakfast being excellent. “Good breakfast, though disappointed that since my last visits it is no longer possible to have Manx kipper as a breakfast choice. Decor in corridors and room a little tired. Worst feature is that rooms are only serviced once every 3 days, not everyday, so only once wa during a 5 night stay. Never experienced this in any other hotel.”

“Used accessible entrance on arrival via the breakfast room… poor signage, lights out and smelled of bleach.. not very welcoming. Stairs up to main entrance impossible with suitcases. Reception bright & welcoming when we found it. Room clean, but needs a refurb. WC flush took 10 mins to re-fill!! Three big windows with view of the beach. Spacious with ample storage. Breakfast average but friendly staff. Restaurant evening meal.. fabulous food but expensive. Coffee in lounge served in a pot & same...

“I went for business trip. So I didn't experienced the Casino and around of the Hotel. I think this hotel is good at for short travel. The room is clean, bathroom is convient for shower. Free Wifi can be used for 2 computer/room. However the eating included in dinner and breakfast in the hotel is normal.”

“Nice breakfast 😋 polite staff . Carpets need modernising in room . Shower needs redoing and tv 📺 needed fixing before letting out the room . Hair dryer towels and bathroom amenities all good 👍 Kettle tea coffee bottled water and biscuits all good 👍 would have been more pleasant if staff was available more and the bar was manned in the evenings .”
