Goeree-Overflakkee, Netherlands hotel rooms at the Independent

"Carpeted room but the carpet was new enough that I felt comfortable .. Rooms have apparently been renovated recently. Decor was pleasant... Breakfast buffet was decent, and actually felt as if it was a good value for 17 euros. Rare to feel as if the price reflects the product or vice versa.. (with regards to breakfast buffets). Elevators were busy, but fast. Overall a very nice stay."

"Be aware that it is next to a casino and the parking could be pretty crowded on Fridays and Saturdays. The bed mattress is overly soft, softest I have seen in fact, I prefer much firmer but this is personal taste I guess. The breakfast is paid, but really good both selection and value-wise. Overall, it is a good value, clean room with little annoyances."

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel finely. We did unfortunately have to change rooms due to a buzzing noise from the refrigeration system. Fortunately, this went easily and we were upgraded to one of the suites. It should be mentioned that the front of the hotel and restaurant 1937 both look fantastic but the experience towards and in the rooms is authentic and somewhat dated."

"The Hotel Teleport is a nice hotel in a pretty good location in Rotterdam. Rooms are small and the towels are sparse, but the hotel is an alright place to stay. "

"It was easy to find this hotel from Centraal Station, less than 5 minutes walk. I found the staff friendly and welcoming with check in smooth and efficient. I stayed in the Candy Room which was small but comfortable with plenty of hot water in the shower. If you don't like stairs don't choose this room as there is a fairly steep flight of stairs up to it. The advantage being there is only one room at the top so it is very quiet and has it's own en suite. Breakfast was buffet style and the usual...

"the proximity to the Rotterdam Centraal rail station, shops, restaurants. It has a laundry area which is very convenient, and the suites are full apartments with full kitchen and well appointed!"

"My second stay there after visiting Paris and Brussels. Room is tidy and clean. However shower room outlet was faulty - water outlet is choke and waste water discharge was very slow. The engineering guy did look into it but problem was not rectified. "
