"Staying at La Terra Resort was an absolute dream. The atmosphere, the perfectly curated property, and the delicious meals were all wonderful—but what truly made the experience unforgettable were the people. The team behind the scenes, along with the staff, made us feel so cared for and welcomed.
One of the highlights was meeting Roshan, the owner. Learning about his colorful background and how La Terra came to be added such a personal and inspiring layer to our stay. He is a man of many...

"Our stay at Byaku was one of the most memorable experiences on our Japan trip. The hotel exemplifies Japanese artistry in so many ways, from hospitality to cuisine to design. It was a unique opportunity to stay in an historic region in a beautifully renovated historic Japanese structure. "

"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

"Loved the central location to Matsumoto train and bus station. The hotel was walking distance to the castle, frog walkway, Media Garden and restaurants.
The room was comfortable and loved the self-service amenities offered (toiletry options, coffee, tea). Would definitely stay again!"

"Really enjoyed our short stay and visiting this area. Walkable distance from the station and lake. A full Japanese-style breakfast was beautifully presented with some alternatives also on offer - fruit, eggs, bacon etc. We visited in May when the hotel and Suwa generally were very quiet so we were able to enjoy the hotel facilitie - the modern reception area and onsen. Good size room with twin beds. Go for one with a lake view if possible."

"Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom contained ingenious plumbing devices for convenience and best use of space. Public bath was nice and we'll maintained. Jinbei and slippers provided.
Front desk was courteous and professional, check in was quick and easy.
Location is close to train and bus terminal. "
"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Everything about the room was very comfortable and we highly recommend staying here.
The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us when we encountered an issue with ETC along the way to this hotel in our rental car. (The issue had nothing to do with the hotel.) We asked the front desk how we should handle this issue as tourists and their staff and management went out of their way to make several phone calls on our behalf with the ETC staff and our rental car company explaining what happened. The hotel manager even said that if our rental car company or ETC gave us any issues when we turn our car in, to reach out to him directly and he would help us which was a very compassionate gesture to offer us.
Not only will you get a nice and comfortable hotel room if you stay here, but you will also have very emphatic and friendly staff who will go above and beyond! We are very thankful to the hotel management and staff for taking such great care of us! "
"The room we had was a little musty and realized that the fan in the bathroom did not work. Also, the bed was a semi double which was a bit small for two, tall but skinny adults.
The room had enough space for a rolling luggage and two backpacks. Since we were traveling light, the small room size wasn’t a big issue for us.
Overall, a decent place to stay for a night or two. "
"The room size for 2 was adequate, but not much extra space for suitcase storage. The hotel location is close to a main road with lots of dining options, but if you don't have a car to drive, the location is a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station.
The buffet breakfast wasn't something I signed up for when making the reservation, but for some reason, for the two nights we stayed there, the buffet was "sold out", so breakfast was unavailable. Otherwise it was a nice stay, and the staff kindly let us check in a little early when we arrived ahead of schedule."
