View from Emily Bank in the Moorfoot Hills. Looking north towards Edinburgh, Jeffries Corse is on the left. I went for a walk in to these beautiful hills to locate an air crash site I'd heard about and loved the views on the way.
Half an hour south of Edinburgh these beautiful hills offer an opportunity to wander for hours. This was late afternoon mid November. Gorgeous light.

Staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. However the bed in our room was really uncomfortable and squeaky, and the bar didn’t have any alcohol-free drinks available which is a bit poor these days. Glad we were only there for a few hours before an early flight.
