“Highly recommend booking this place. Stayed as a family of 4 and Julia and Iain really had thought of everything. We arrived via train and so didn’t pack a lot. They had beach mats, wind breakers etc Also had a bed guard for our little one so she didn’t roll out of bed. Even the bathroom had a hair towel! “Great location, really friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, rooms were really clean and warm and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was really nice with great service and they made us all feel welcome every morning and included the kids in everything. Would 100% stay here again for our next visit. ”

“Still a great hotel but things have definitely slipped since my last few visits. Slow check in, bathroom extractor fan not working, partially blocked bath and faulty lights. All small problems but it does point to slipping standards. I’ll give it one more go, based on previous experiences but might have to find another favourite hotel for my trips to Blackpool if things remain the same. ”

“The property was impressive with the room being quite a good spec. Huge windows offered a lovely view of the lake area and the stand up fan offered relief from quite a stuffy evening. There were some quality amenities and facilities on site too. The parking was ample but even the closest areas required a sizable walk to reception and that is including the disabled parking bays. “Although we booked an accessible room, which was very comfortable and extremely spacious, it didn't have a walk in shower, but a shower over bath, awkward but usable. The small refrigerator for drinks in the room was very handy. The Temple bar restaurant wasn't open in the evenings during our stay, so there was no carvery on offer, the Zafari bar and grill was available and we enjoyed the meals we had there.
