"My wife and I were looking for a nice quiet getaway in the woods. We didn't quite get that. First the good,
The property is wonderful. Just off the main road, set back in the woods. It's set up very well. It's also perfectly located in between Acadia, Bar Harbor, and Ellsworth.
The staff was great, friendly, and accommodating. The tents themselves were very cool. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was massive, and they have a nice little deck and firepit.
The bad,
We wanted a quiet getaway but sadly did not get it. The place is LOUD at night. Tents are close so you can hear every conversation being had by your neighbors, kids screaming, and people playing music.
If you get a tent that is on the main road of the campground it is very loud every time a car drives by on the gravel.
It was cold when we went, so when we took a shower the steam would set off the fire alarm. It took forever to shut off. Every time we showered after that we had to crank the fan up and open the windows. This made for some ice cold showers. it was horrible."
