“Fantastic ”

“The Brewer street sign was obscured by branches. So we drove right by it at first the street looked a little sketchy, but it was clean and quiet. The residence was very nice. Our apartment was immaculate and the amenities plentiful. We had a very nice stay.”

“Island Place is an amazing stay to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia. The hotel is clean and well maintained and walking distance from downtown and the Village Green. We were able to walk to the shuttle buses instead of driving. Maureen and everyone there are the nicest people we've encountered at a hotel ever. They have amazing recommendations and made us feel like home. We are eager to come back!”

“Convenient to Acadia National Park with convenient shuttle service. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant and Lobster Pound, with waterfront views, were fantastic. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of amenities. Would definitely visit again.”

“This was a wonderful, affordable option in Bar Harbor! I enjoyed the ocean view from the balcony in my room. The free shuttle conveniently stops at the hotel and is a good option for avoiding parking in the busy downtown area. Connecting shuttles on the village green also service several destinations in Acadia National Park. Highly recommend!”

“A friendly, family run inn. Very typical of old Maine style with cute wallpaper, wood floors, and old Maine charm. If you are looking for modern luxury this isn’t for you. However, if you want a lovely inn with a ton of charm and a great price on the island, then you won’t find better than the Harbourside. The bedroom was big with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linens. It’s an easy walk to Northeast Harbor with excellent shopping and restaurants.”

“Great place. Close to everywhere and you can walk to the beach and shuttle bus which will take you to the Acadia park. Very well managed inn. Will stay again. ”

“First time bed and breakfast stay and it was amazing! Christi and Matt were so welcoming and had some recommendations to give us which was very helpful. The view is absolutely beautiful! Our room was perfect - had a comfy king bed with an updated bathroom, including an amazing shower. Multiple options for breakfast that Chrisi whips up and it was delish! Will definitely be back!!”

“Great hotel located conveniently in Northeast harbor on Mt. Desert Island. Picturesque location with balconies overlooking beautiful marina. Onsite restoring great food and friendly staff. Minutes from Main Street shops and additional restaurants. 5 minutes drive to south entrance of Acadia National Park and easy 20 minute scenic drive over to downtown Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay again. Great place, and value. ”

“This property is adorable and convenient. Our room was spacious, very clean, and lovely, with a balcony overlooking the village green where we could sit and enjoy people watching. It's also very close to all the restaurants and shops in the center of Bar Harbor, so it was very convenient. That said, we didn't find it noisy at all, so that was nice. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. It is quite pricey and a bit of a splurge for the last hotel on our two-week road trip, but I'd say...

“Everything exceeded our expextations. The place was spotless. The road to get the rental was rough. You have to watch out for the pot holes but definitely not a deal breaker. ”
