“From the moment guests arrive at De Bergkant, they feel special. Even the parking lot is well thought out and pretty (as parking lots go). Tracey greeted us with ice tea from local rooibos plants and honey from local bees. Our room was clean, beautiful in a delightful way, and comfortable. The grounds were lovely and we took a dip in one of the pools before a delicious breakfast. It’s an impeccably designed property.”

“Amazing location if you wish to disconnect from the city life. You’ll have to drive about 12km on a gravel road after you go through the main gate (this is where google map stops). I recommend a car with good ground clearance (Toyota cross worked great for me). The night sky is very clear if you’re a stargazer and the SALT Telescope is about 45 mins drive. “Lovely Manor House Hotel property set within its own grounds and beautiful gardens, only a few miles outside of Oudtshoorn. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom. Comfy bed, fluffy towels and toiletries with room service each day. Excellent breakfasts with good choice of healthy options and hot selection cooked fresh to order. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. ”
