We stayed at Akron as a family of 4, with a 3 year old and a 2 year old. It was a really great resort to stay for what we wanted, which was to have all amenities on site or nearby. We went half board, weโd planned to just do bed and breakfast but it was only ยฃ1 a night more for half board when I booked. But weโre so glad we did, the food was varied each night, it was tasty, and it made it way easier with the 2 kids. You also get local beer or wine included at dinner even if youโre not all inclusive which was nice.
The breakfast also had lots of variety. Staff also really lovely.
We stayed in a superior maisonette - 2 storey with a balcony on the lower floor. No swim up pool.
We actually had our 2 kids sleep upstairs in the master room (2yo in a cot and 3yo in the bed) and we slept on the twin beds in the living area. Thereโs a steep set of stairs between the floors that you donโt really want young kids going up or down on their own and you canโt block them off from the living area. So. With the kids upstairs we could keep them safe in the bedroom with the door closed and not have to sneak past them during nap time or after their bed time to use the bathroom or go on the balcony.
The pool area is great and doesnโt ever feel crowded, the kids pool is about 2 ft deep all over so not โpaddle depthโ at any point. So kids who canโt swim always need arm bands etc.
Canal dโamour beach literally 1 min walk from pool. 10+ restaurants a 5 min walk from reception.
