"During the night, the air conditioning repeatedly turned itself back on even after I switched it off several times. The room became extremely cold, and I was unable to get a proper night's sleep.
When I reported the issue the next morning, it was fixed immediately. While I appreciated the quick resolution, I had already lost an entire night of sleep.
What disappointed me most was the lack of any apology. The staff member handled the issue in a cold and matter-of-fact manner, and I left reception without hearing a single apology.
After I later submitted a complaint, the hotel claimed that an apology had been given and suggested that I may not have understood it because of the language. I find this difficult to accept. I lived in French-speaking countries for eight years and graduated from a French university. A simple apology is not something I would fail to understand.
The hotel has since apologized in writing, yet it continues to deny that no apology was offered during our face-to-face interaction. That response has been more disappointing than the technical issue itself.
After reading several other reviews, I also noticed a recurring pattern in which the hotel appears reluctant to acknowledge mistakes and instead offers explanations or shifts responsibility elsewhere. I hope my impression is wrong, but I have a feeling the response to this review may follow a similar pattern.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel."
