"This is beautiful and quirky hotel in an old part of the town centre of Souillac. Owners appeared to be welcoming and charismatic. Lady owner communicates in English if struggling to speak in French. Rooms presented to be very nice and clean, while beds very comfortable. Bathroom appeared to be clean but would benefit from a little renovation. There is shower in the bathtub but no rail to attach it, which was a little bit inconvenient. There is cafe and dinning room downstairs, which seems to attract a lot of locals. Breakfast is served in the dinning room, though I would personally rather have something to eat elsewhere. Hygiene standards in the dinning room are not what I am used to, and are somehow low."

"La situation de l'hôtel est un atout certain ainsi que ses nombreuses aménités. Nous avons en effet été témoins de certains problèmes rapportés dans d'autres commentaires comme la prise qui se détache. La chambre était petite, mais propre et les lits confortables. La dame au comptoir était charmante et vraiment aidante. Le sentiment est celui d'un village vacances qui souffre d'un certain vieillissement, mais notre expérience a été très bonne. Le séjour s'est très bien passé, mission accomplie."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, which is bursting with character and history. The owner was lovely and incredibly attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant area is gorgeous and serves very good food, though it is on the pricier side. Breakfast was a highlight for the atmosphere alone, eating in that space genuinely felt like sitting in a castle, even if the actual food selection was a little limited. For future travellers, it is worth noting that the location is a bit quiet. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance, and the local boulangerie was closed midweek during our stay, so planning ahead for meals is a good idea. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was nice, though it is worth mentioning that the layout felt more like a single large room rather than a traditional multi-room suite. The television was also on the smaller side and a bit tricky to see from the bed. Lastly, we happened to visit during a severe heatwave. While the air conditioning unit did its best and certainly made the room more comfortable than the outside temperature, it struggled to completely cool the space. Overall, it is a wonderful, historic property with fantastic service, just with a few quirks to be mindful of depending on when you visit."

"I arrived on Thursday, June 18th (4ish pm) After a long walk from the train station (apparently public transportation is very scarce in Rocamadour) to the hotel, the receptionist was very kind and welcoming. We stumbled through our language barrier (she was very patient with me) and I was checked in and on my way. Before I went to my room, I asked if she would schedule a taxi for me back to the train station on by departure day. She was very accomodating. Better yet, the taxi showed up. It's a great hotel, very clean and spacious room. The bathroom was large compared to those in Europe. No air conditioning, which I knew booking, but a fan is provided and keeps the room comfortable. The hotel is a two minute walk to the Sanctuary. If you are taking the train to Rocamadour....do yourself a huge favor and pre-book transportation to town. You'll thank yourself!!"

"Arrived after check-in was closed but the staff were super friendly and it was no problem. Good location, free parking nearby and clean and tidy. Room was OK size and clean. Prices very reasonable. Recommended."

"I chose this hotel for its beautiful view of Rocamadour. The room was very basic, but had a bright sparkling clean bathroom with tub, so we were happy with that. The restaurant is excellent. Servers were well-meaning, but not well trained. Food was excellent, but we never got our drinks. The Holy Way goes right beside the hotel to Rocamadour, so you could leave your car in the parking lot and just walk over. Convenient to catching le Petit Train right out front, and there are nice souvenir shops around the little square. I bought three lovely tins of candied walnuts for little gifts at the shop right next door, and she cheerfully and quickly wrapped them up for me."
