We were upgraded to the family room, which was great, the only concern was going up and down the steep staircase having to access the kitchen and bathroom, and there is no TV in the bedroom. Something I did not see mentioned in the reviews I looked at was that the nearest shops are 20km away, in Ysterfontein.

NO VOLUME CONTROL!

I did not gather from the advert by Hotels.Com that it was a room in the private residence of somebody. Whilst the room and amenities were satisfactory the owner spoiled the whole experience. She is loud and inconsiderate to the peaceful surrounds of the premises.
