This is a university student dorm, very simple and plainly room. But it is a clean and safe place, staffs are also students, only thing is a little far away from downtown. If you have car that is not a problem, it offers free parking.

Very clean and quiet. The campus is pretty. The provided kitchenware would use a refresh but otherwise no complaints. No extra amenities but if all you want is a clean quiet place to stay it's a perfectly fine choice.

This was a great option for this solo traveler. Expectations should be realistic as it is a dorm. It was quiet, great wifi and clean shared washrooms. A small kitchen area had microwave, fridge and sink. The only negative was the high heat (no AC) - not sure why staff didnt prop open the main doors in evening to cool the main lobby and hallways which was steamy. The bed is ok - thin foam mattress, includes bedding. I would stay again if cooler temps outside to air out the rooms better (unless you like it warm then go for it). The small fan provided isn’t enough to exchange air. Parking included which was appreciated. Nice staff and I felt very safe.

The rooms were very hot and stuffy . The fans in the bedrooms were dirty on arrival and needed to be cleaned. The fan in the lounge was not very effective. The bathroom had no bath mats. The first set of towels were not very effective. On the 4th day we had better towels. It would have been helpful:- 1. to have received information about how to find the residence initially. 2. to know what facilities were nearby with regard to food etc. 3. to have been provided with additional information e.g. bus routes and information about tours etc. A security person helped us find the residence in the dark and the person at the desk helped us with the wifi.

We stayed in a 4‑bedroom, 2‑bathroom dorm unit at Mount Saint Vincent. It was spacious, clean, and a decent price for what you got. Each bedroom was basic but comfortable, and having two bathrooms made mornings much easier. The location is a bit outside downtown Halifax (about 15‑20 minutes by car), so plan for that if you don't have a vehicle. Parking was fine. Overall, a solid budget option for a group or family. Not fancy, but good value.

Nice location, very amiable staff. No headboard on the bed, a personal peeve. The mattress comforts fair to tolerable. Expect not much adornment, but really don’t appreciate ceiling lighting only. Extremely institutional feel. Reading lamps even as a rental option, much better. Limited power points. Maybe I am not a dorm or hostel compliant traveller anymore….but it’s a modern world.

When we first arrived (one hour before check-in at 4:00), the staff were unorganized, unhelpful and did not appear at all concerned about the guests. The staff consisted of students with very poor customer service skills. At 4:00, a more welcoming student arrived and got us checked in. Excellent apartment with four separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area with kitchenette. No AC, but fans were provided. Very clean and comfortable, quiet in the evening. About 10 minutes from downtown Halifax.

The room was great. I especially loved that they came equipped with a sink. I found the mattress challenging to have a good nights rest, but they provided me with an extra pillow for added comfort. The dorm itself was more spacious than I thought with plenty of storage and drawers. I also appreciate the locked washrooms being equipped with showers. I was under the impression that shower stalls were going to be the mode of use, so that was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back!

Quiet building. We booked the 4 room apartment with 2 bathrooms. Lots of room. Beds were super singles, I believe (longer than a twin). Not the best sleep, but what do you expect when your 58 and sleep in a queen. Bring your own fan for a/c as the rooms are a little stuffy. Good water pressure. Tv stations are basic cable. WiFi included. At check in you are presented with a piece of paper that shows wifi credentials. The funny thing is you are also given a description of how to use the shower 😂! I have never used a shower knob function like this one and the notes were helpful! I would stay again.
