"We were greeted at the door, such a lovely welcome, shown around and to our room. We had some lovely food in the beautiful sitting room with an open fire. The room was gorgeous with a bath and seperate shower. Topped off in the wonderful breakfast room. All the staff were lovely and so helpful, we couldn't fault it......thank you xxx"

"The view was Great and quiet but attention to details was lacking as regards cleaning like inside water closet and changing of bed cover. No much variety for breakfast, I stayed nine nights and I kept on seeing the same items."

"Booked a basic room over the weekend. Everything, including bathroom, was very clean. The bathroom door is just a sliding door (in case this is important to anyone). There was some muted noise from other guests but not too noisy even on the first floor. Staff was watchful and helpful. The hotel is also about a mile from a very big train station. Lots of stores within walking distance. The area is quiet and safe to walk around (though it was raining most of the time, so very few people were out). For those who are wheelchair bound, there are a lot of stairs."
