“I like staying here as you can park right outside your room. There is an excellent bar and restaurant and I enjoyed sitting outside with a drink in the evening.

“The staff at this property where really really lovely so genuine and welcoming it really made the overnight stay. Plus the cleanliness of the rooms was too notch and the breakfast was great. Date I say much better than other companies hotels. Service and all the above mentioned where 5 star in our opinion. We are out and taxi service used by the hotel was also brilliant efficient and quick. ”

Food was excellent, very generous portions. Gluten free catered for very well.
Unfortunately the shower in room 33 constantly dripped.
Other than that great 1 night stay after a long day at Twycross Zoo.

“Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
“This place isn't a hotel in the traditional sense, more like a bar / restaurant mainly open for 'hotel' guests but don't let that put you off, it's a great place to stay. Very friendly atmosphere, staff can't do enough to help, food is excellent and rooms are quiet and comfortable. It's my preferred place to stay when I'm in the area.”

“Nice, clean with a nice local pub right across the courtyard. Very handy. However the pub is only open limited hours and no where else to eat within walking distance except a fish n chips joint. We stayed in apartment 3. Suited our family of 4 well, but note there is no mini fridge or micro that a family might hope for. Walls are thin too but not a big deal.
