“Lava Guesthouse is well-located in the centre of Westman Island and has basically all the amenities required. There are enough bathrooms for all the guests and those are clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable and sheets clean. The blackout blind in the bedroom was not super effective however.
The kitchen is quite good. Modern, clean and stocked with basics. Especially good was the dishwasher, and also some hot chocolate powder we found which hit the spot on a cold afternoon.”

“We chose this property solely for the “laundry”. We stayed in Iceland for 12 days and knew we would need to wash clothes at some point. The property has 1 washer and 1 dryer for 17 units. It’s a dual unit that would best be described as being for an apartment. It can only be used between 9am and 10pm, because it’s in the hallway next to a room. Unfortunately, we weren’t able only there for night and we were not able to get our laundry done because of those hurdles.

“The cottage has just about everything you need in the kitchen which was super helpful for us. The place was very clean and quiet. Check in and check out are easy, self service. We would stay here again and for longer. The property itself was on a beautiful piece of land, we enjoyed a great sunset and tried to see northern lights but it was cloudy.”
