"Tuesday nights the restaurant and bar was closed. there were refreshments available, but you were not able to sit anywhere communal to enjoy them and speak to people you were travelling with. When asked if we could make use of the garden we were told no as other people may want to sit outside too and the staff didn't want to 'look-after' anyone - despite the refreshments being self-service. The one place you could sit with a friend was in the corridor on a sofa that was blown and...

"There’s no contact with any staff, the rooms are cleaned only when you leave. We didn’t have breakfast. There’s a lovely terrace you can sit out on with a honesty bar. The village is beautiful and the hotel is in a very old building but be aware that the stairs are steep and quite narrow & there is no lift so anyone with mobility issues would struggle - not sure if there were any ground floor rooms"
