Great location - on the main road between Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead. Close to the Grand Canal and right across the road from an exceptional pub / restaurant - the White Horse. Pleasant and helpful staff and a great deck overlooking the river.

Great find, very nice rooms with everything you need. bed was comfy. Parking lots of and the place reminded me of a holiday chalet place. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bonus was the pub over the road "The Anchor" very very nice would go again and please try it if you stay, food was perfect and again the staff were great. Please if your in the area stay here and have a few pints over the road in both pubs.

Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Staff were polite and breakfast was ok. Only small downside was no restaurant for a evening meal,but the White Horse pub across the road serves lovely food and you get a 10% discount when you show your room key.

Staff were very good, facilities in the room were good - the environment lovely with the WsterMill and the stream - good bed - good black out curtains - welcome water / enough tea for morning and evening - breakfast plentiful - but to tinned fruit - rather than fresh - not very inviting croissants - did not have cooked breakfast - we would stay again - pleasant modern design - welcoming staff!!!

A pleasant stay in a lovely big room. Very clean in room and comfortable. The communual are looked tatty, particularly the brown carpet which needs replacing. Breakfast was ok but a bit cold.

Lovely overnight stay

We had a lovely overnight stay. We loved how this hotel is built around an old water mill and how you are right by the overflow canal off the main canal. The staff were all extremely friendly.

Nice property for our stop over

Lovely property for our stay, staff were lovely especially Shawn. Only stopped here to break up my journey home. Nice Pub/restaurants just across the road in a nice location
