The hotel had no reception, which is a glorified air bnb therefore not a hotel. The check-in system is lousy. You are reliant on your phone to open doors, what if your battery dies? Next, most of the staff were very unpleasant, rude at best. One of them literally hustled my partner to pay the bill mid-stay meanwhile the booking was in my name. I was in the room trying to pay via their lousy link which barely worked. Next the bed was very uncomfortable, mattress was too soft. We ended up with back pains. This area is too far from Amsterdam there’s no need. I do not recommend.and I’m actually very offended at how they hustled my partner to pay the bill mid-stay while the booking was in my name.

We stayed at Park Centraal for 4 nights. It’s right in the heart of Amsterdam, close to museums, restaurants and public transport. The area is busy with bikes and cars, so expect some city noise, but that’s part of the charm if you want to be close to the action such as Vondelpark and the popular museums. Red light district and main city centre are accessible by tram from Leidseplein the main square/stop. Some up market fashion shopping also around the corner on Pieter Cornelisz Hooftstraat. The hotel itself is a little older but still well presented and comfortable. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout with some good restaurant recommendations for dinner.

Wonderful place to stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. Multiple historic canal homes which have been renovated into a stylish and spacious hotel. So charming! The service was top notch and the beds are absolutely luxurious.
