"Absolutely beautiful hotel - our room was one of the nicest we’ve stayed in in Greece. Great location near the port. Would have appreciated having someone help us with our luggage getting into and out of the hotel."
"This is a new hotel and although it has a five star rating it is not quite yet a five star experience. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, but it is a bit soulless, it feels like a 4-star, it’s corporate rather than boutique.
Definitely pay for a sea view room otherwise your view will be an ugly shopping centre. The location outside the Venetian city walls in an underdeveloped quarter of the city means a 25 minute walk into the old town in 30C heat, or multiple taxis. The rooftop pool is nice for a dip, with a lovely sea view, but the lounging area is very small. Breakfast is buffet style, no eggs to order, no a la carte. Staff are excellent and friendly, the gym is decent (although the music is loud and there’s no option to control it). There’s an unfortunate ‘signature scent’ in all public areas. Cheap, synthetic, powdery.
If you want to explore the coast west of Heraklion this is a good location. But if you want to enjoy the museums, restaurants and bars in the city, this perhaps isn’t the best spot."
"Beautiful room with private dunk pool to escape the heat- although the rooftop pool and bar are also fantastic with wonderful views of the water. Great location near old city center and sights. Very helpful staff- we were able to check out but also use the facilities all afternoon before heading to late night flight. Fantastic breakfast included with fresh fruit and plenty of options. Highly recommend to anyone in Heraklion area."
"The room is clean but very old, not as modern and shiny look as the lobby. Breakfast is awesome and has lots of choices, also very healthy and tasty. Staff is very helpful and responsive."
