“Excellent room and central location in Hexham and convenient for exploring Hadrian’s Wall etc. great breakfast and very helpful staff. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.”

“My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we had a wonderful stay. All of the staff was a pleasure to talk with. We stayed in the tower suit on the fifth and top floor. Be aware there is no elevator but they do have a small lift for your suitcase and staff can bring up for you. The lounge and bar area was beautiful to sit in. We also had dinner at the castle and it was fantastic. the chef prepared us some extra dishes that were delicious we felt like we were treated like royalty....

“Comfortable/clean room with a great view. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Great location close to the train station and central Hexham. The pub downstairs had good beer as well.”

“Check in was quick, staff offered to book us a table for dinner but declined. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom could do with an upgrade, rust and black marks throughout but otherwise clean. I’d say a fridge in the room would have been handy. Lovely outdoor space and peaceful area.”

“Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight. The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots. The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...
