There is a convenience store across the street that has pizza and sub sandwiches, that is the only nearby dining option. The kitchen is nice but small. “The Kolkuós Guesthouse is a hidden gem! We really enjoyed the the quiet, secluded location right on the shore. The house is beautifully remodeled and furnished and very clean. Breakfast was amazing and served in the quaint dining room. The staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. The Kolkuós Guesthouse was by far our favorite place to stay on our trip to Iceland!”

“My room (separated rooms from the main section) was dead quiet throughout the night I stayed. Anybody who wants tranquility should book these type of rooms. Shared kitchen was bit crowded at late hours. The cooker had 4 positions but they were weak in power. Breakfast included but only basic continental type. There are chickens, horses, and a house dog in the front yard. Dry type Sauna and a hot tub was ready outside.”
