12 hours before leaving Sydney we received a phone call from ANOTHER motel that Settlers had closed down! While a had the printed confirmation in the suitcase! We arrived at Settlers the following day and found Settlers closed down, with a paper on the door that they had closed down. This is my first contact with Expedia. They recommend closed motels and cause disturbances during holidays. Please take me off your mailing list.

It was dated and poor condition. Room smelt like someone had smoked in there.

I was recommended this motel by my brother who has stayed there a few times. I tried to ring to book and also to email but no response. I then booked through wotif. The rooms were clean and had all facilities but must say the grounds, office and desk service was disappointing. Could be a lovely little motel everything there just let go, sad

Review

Very good for three star accomodation. Very comfortable bed, great hot shower and reasonably sized fluffy towels . Some cutlery other than just teaspoons would have been useful

Pet friendly and halfway between Sydney and Melbou

We stopped here on our drive from Melbourne to Sydney. It is pet friendly, cheap and cheerful. The pool was great after a six hour drive! The room was clean, however I found the bed a bit too hard and the garden could do with some work but we only needed a place to rest our heads! The bakery and pub are a short walk away and it is quiet....

You get what you pay for I guess. The toilet leaked so wet feet during the middle of the night trip to the loo. Shower pressure was nothing more than a trickle...no washing hair. The curtains were missing hooks thus they did not shut all the way. The lock on the door was just about falling off and there was a huge crack right through the middle of the wall behind the bed from ceiling to floor. Beds and linen were great. Grounds also need work.

Very rundown appears to have no upkeep, has a toaster but no plates or utensils (bar A teaspoon) smoke detector doesnt work, plants overgrown weeds everywhere, no shampoo, curtains dont cover windows properly, loads of rubbish in an area behind receprion.

Crack in wall fron ceiling to floor. Curtains need to be ckeaned and mended. Smel in toilet. Toilet leaked. Sticky bench .

Good overnight stop for price

Good stop for overnight stop travelling to Sydney. Easy check in/out and service was good. Room was a little 'tired' but comfortable enough for the price we paid. Would stay again.

Room 4 - Bed uncomfortably hard. No teatowel to wash cups. Bench sticky to touch. Toaster but no plate to put toast on. Shower water hard to adjust - either too hot or too cold. Very very poor lighting. Curtains ill fitting so difficult to close to avoid outside looking in.

Accommodates families as well as others.

Accommodates families as well as others. We are a family of 5 and never had a problem booking at this motel. Easy going and friendly staff always going out of their way. Highly recommended.

Great Location away from the main road

Stayed at this Motel last year and would not be staying again .There seems to be minimum maintenance being carried out and the facility is looking very tired and neglected. Smoke alarm cover was hanging with no battery installed door lock was held on by only one screw and bathroom had a strong sewer smell.
