“I love this hotel, I visit at least twice a year. Its large, but comfortable and perfectly situated for both the town of Buxton and the wider peak district. The staff are mainly young, but helpful and hardworking ....they could do with a few more sometimes, they can be very busy, especially in the bar. I like that is so close to the opera house and all the lovely little restaurants, plenty of shops too. The breakfasts are worth having, i havent had dinner there as there is so much choice of...

“good golf course, tennis court, rooms and buildings with full of historic scent. 30 minutes drive from Manchester airport. meeting rooms are cozy, but internet access with laptop inconvenient (smartphones are ok). breakfast was excellent and bar serves all kinds of nice cocktail.”

“The spa and pool was love, we realkt enjoyed it, but we had no kettle in our room we walked to reception and asked for one, I offered to collect it and take it back but they saud no a member of staff will bring it , we never received it, so couldn't have any drinks in our room, room was clean but dated , but on the whole we enjoyed it, breakfast was great”

The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”
