Horta is such a gem of an islandโabsolutely stunning! We booked this hotel last-minute and lucked out with one of the last two rooms available. Snagging the ocean view was totally worth itโthe views were incredible and made for the perfect backdrop to our stay.
The location couldnโt have been better! We were able to walk to just about everything, which made exploring so easy and fun. Pro tip: make sure to catch the sunset just down the street by the beachโitโs pure magic.
I treated myself to a massage during our stay, and as a massage therapist myself, I can honestly say she was fantastic! Super skilled and totally relaxing. The massage table (and the bed in the room) was on the firmer side, but hey, thatโs a small tradeoff for everything else this place offers.
Breakfast was super convenient and kept us full for our adventures, and the omelets by the pool bar? Absolutely delicious!
We had a little hiccup during our stay, possibly due to a language barrier at first, but once another staff member stepped in, it was handled quickly and kindlyโbig points for service recovery!
Yes, the hotel has a bit of a vintage vibe and the AC wasnโt exactly the best, but honestly, the unbeatable location and easy access to everything (especially the marinaโperfect if youโre into fishing!) made it a fantastic choice.
All in all, this place made our Horta getaway extra memorable. Would happily stay again!
