Short summer stay for L’Etape.

Lovely hotel at the northern end of Alpe d’Huez. Quite basic rooms with no tea/coffee in the room and clearly aimed at the ski season as the bar and restaurant were not open in July when we visited. Staff are very friendly and breakfast was good quality and varied options. There are only a few parking spaces outside the hotel but plenty of free parking on the street and other parts of town. Lovely town with real character and friendly people in shops and restaurants, of which there were plenty to choose from.

Deux nuits pour un passage à la montagne en été. Au bord des pistes pour l’hiver. Le seul dommage lit trop petit.
Très bien mais largeur trop petit

Malgré une resa qui n'avait pas pris en compte notre souhait d'une chambre avec balcon le sejour s'est très bien passé : petis déjeuners copieux, diners delicieux et variés. Le personnel est charmant et a l'ecoute de nos moindres besoins . On reviendra dans cet hotel remarquablement situé.

Rip off

Booked to visit hotel first weekend in July but received E mail from hotel stating that they were closing for remainder of 2020. They stated that I would be offered a voucher and a chance to re book. I requested refund but was informed that voucher was only thing available . Contacted Hotels.com as I booked hotel through them, not a lot of joy with them. They stated that the hotel had the choice whether to refund me or not. They contacted hotel and were advised no refund just voucher. As I booked through Hotels.Com I am of the opinion that my contract is with them and will be taking this further .

Bon rapport qualité/prix. Accueil sympa et serviable. Le local a ski est assez exigu, avec peu de possibilte de s'assoir. L'eau de la douche en debit un peu trop limité et tres longue a devenir chaude.

Vriendelijke medewerkers, ontbijt gratis in de week van de Alpe d'Huzes en een prima ontbijt mag wel gezegd worden. Maar de bedden zijn niet goed, klein en hard en vooral de kussens zijn te hard en te dik, slaapt niet fijn.

Eady access to lift.

Very nice breakfast and dinner included. Very basic food, but seem very local. An easy "slide" over to the ski lift.

Ok in a pinch

Visited in the summer. The beds were smaller than a twin and very uncomfortable. Thin, cheap towels. The room was clean, but I wouldn’t stay here again....due to the beds.

Au pied des pistes

Au pied des pistes. Excellent accueil. Chambre très simple et sans décor. Comme l'ensemble de l'hôtel, il faudrait songer à rafraîchir la déco et les peintures. Petit déjeuner très bien. Nous y avons dîner un soir, repas correct mais guère inventif. Le plus , c'est la salle de petit dej/restaurant qui est tout en haut du bâtiment et a une vue superbe. Nous avons trouvé le prix global un peu excessif au vu de l'état général de l'hôtel

Excellent niveau pour un hôtel 2 étoiles. Des matelas un peu moins durs, des thermostats sur les radiateurs, et ce serait parfait !
