โRm 231... By far the best hotel shower I've ever experienced, and I've traveled the country coast to coast & border to border annually for 20 years staying in 100's of hotels.
This stay was for pleasure. I joined local friends to peruse the Friday market and the Saturday Farmer's Market. Parking can be tricky. Some stress leaving my vehicle parked on the street. No issues occured. I'm not finding any reasons to book elsewhere on my next Arcata visit. โ
โYou can get what you expect from the Hillton hotel chain. Clean, comfortable and kind. But the breakfast was not good, compared with other similar hotels.โ
โIt was very easy to get to and from the freeway. Close to a selection of places to eat or get groceries. Our second story, non-smoking room, looked newly remodeled. The AC worked perfectly. Everything was clean and fresh. The beds were very comfortable and there was hot water for showers. I would happily stay there again. โ
โThe best place to stay for miles around is if you are visiting the Redwood National Forest. The room was renovated recently and exceeded our expectations. Not to mention that a real chef prepared our dinner! The front desk worker who checked us out was super friendly and told me about local American Indian culture! โ
โThe history of the property was fascinating. Staying in the middle of that history was wonderful.
I can't praise our excellent host enough. She was a wealth of local history, and gave tremendous recommendations for local food and sites to visit.โ
