"There bed was so soft the room was super clean I didn't want to get up out that bed as a trucker I recommend this hotel. Breakfast very decent nothing to much enough to start your day ."
"Hotel is basic - kitchen, bed, bathroom - but no utensils or silverware at all. Only access to food and drink are vending machines and a coffee machine. No breakfast provided. Cabinetry and drawers etc are walmart quality - so bottom line this is like a hostel more than a hotel and you need to come armed with everything you need. There are no staff on site between about 9.00 pm - 7 am which could be an issue in an emergency. Not sure what happens if yiu arrive after 9 pm and need to check in. One other thing to note is that my room (and I suspect others) have no blackout curtains, only slatted blinds, which would be fine were it not for the 500 gigawatt halogen lamps in the parking lot which make the bedroom light even in the middle of the night. So if you literally just need a bed, bath and a room, this is OK - but if you intend to use the room for more than that, find somewhere more typical with carpeted floors and some amenities."
"The pool was down. One reason I choose this hotel. Very disappointing. Then the a/c was broken so had to move to another room after driving 5 hours to get there. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable though."
"While traveling, we received a call that staff didn't have the king room available that we had booked, instead asking if we would take a queen. May asked us to call back. However, no matter how many times we tried, no one answered front desk. Corporate was no help to us. Orbiz/Expedia said that cancelling would forfiet our money. When we arrived we were given the queen and two goodie bags, each containing a bottle of water and a bag of Skinny Pop. No refund or adjustment to the room rate we had paid. There was no hair dyer (guests must check them out), only a tiny bar of soap and one tiny container of shampoo, no hand towels, and the TV didn't work (an employee did fix that), The floor was tacky in areas. Maid was knocking on our door before check out time the next morning. Will never stay here again or recommend it. It was so frustrating for two weary travelers. "
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Knoxville-Clinton by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast tasted amazing, breakfast lady was nice but not if you grabbed extra food, made a slight face at my friend but it was more of a like “dang are you going to eat all of that look” 😂 . the room was clean, guy at the front desk was great. Would definitely stay again if I visited "
"Upon checking in the night clerk was very informative until he found out we booked thru Expedia. Asked about our room rate and he said I would need to check my email if I want that info. Upon checking out four days later the day clerk was most helpful and she apologized for his behavior. Also did not realize there were two different rates when booking thru Expedia. We stayed Th, Fr, Sa, Su and found that the advertised rates of $102 only applied to Th and Fr and Sa and Sun it went up to $149 and motel definitely not worth $149 a night based on age of motel. Was disappointed that no fruit was provided on breakfast bar. Same breakfast every morning. Juices watered down. Must say one of the cleanest rooms have stayed in and have stayed in five star hotels worldwide. Staff very friendly. Parking lot appeared to have had recent construction with mud and gravel. Pool area closed for season. Hotel difficult to find. Signage positioned away from highway and difficult to find. Country food restaurant next door, heavy fried foods. Overall rating would be between good and excellent, if you want a clean place to stay. Convenient to Interstate and about 15 minutes from downtown Knoxville."
"The room was clean though the common areas were a bit shabby. There was a group with a lot of high schoolers there and they were very loud, both in the lobby and the halls. The room smelled a bit musty, but after a while I didn’t notice it as much (not sure if that was because I cranked the air conditioning or that I got used to it). The bed had a definite dent in the mattress and I had to shift my position to get comfortable. Not a great stay, but adequate for my purposes "
