"Hostel is quite a way out of Haarlem and next to a busy road but on arrival we discovered we had been given a room at the back facing the park - much appreciated as 4 cyclists on a cycle/touring holiday.
Lovely friendly staff . Had some snacks from the bar and there was a lovely brazier to sit around in the garden .
Met some friendly Dutch and Americans.
Breakfast adequate for our needs ."

"We had a room overlooking the water. It would have been great to sit on the balcony with a morning cup of tea. But it must be the first hotel in the Netherlands that doesn't have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Very disappointing.
The bathroom had been renovated and was nice and modern. It had a huge sink but no counter space for toiletries etc. The lighting was very poor and not bright enough for shaving, applying makeup etc.
Despite that, we will be back when the weather is warmer."
