“comfortable, quiet, great location and extremely helpful staff”

“Room is clean. ”

“We stayed for just one night, on our way to Orkney. The hotel was fine. We got a family room as it listed two bedrooms. In fact, it was two rooms with no door between them. I should have looked at at the reviews or called the hotel directly. Having failed to do so, I did not get a good nights sleep, listening to my family member snore. The hotel is definitely in an old building - charming, but it could do with some touchups. The included breakfast with a nice amenity though, I do wish they had...

“Friendly staffs, really nice breakfests, clean bed&bathroom, perfect location for tour bus, can enjoy listening whatever TV programme they watch in your nextroom. If they have common sense they will lower their volume once you turn on your tv. If not...? Hope you have ear plugs with you. I'd still say it is a great value.”

“Too old everything including room itself, too cold room in October, and too slow wi-fi. Never recommend.”

“Food was fabulous!! The staff was helpful and our was clean.”

“Very happy with accommodation. Room was warm, comfortable. Within walking distance to sights, shopping, restaurants.”

“One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The hospitality is bar none and the experience is ethereal. You can almost image the days leading up to the battle of 1746 unfold walking through the halls and the grounds. Lots of delightful surprises I won't spoil that make the experience unique and special from music, to gardens, to the hospitality.”

“Staffs were so kind. The room was clean enough.”

“Very nice and clean beautiful room great showers well placed quite and cozy”

“Brilliant accommodations. A totally 5 star experience from our first greeting, through a tour of the first floor with beautiful comfortabe common rooms (fire place lit in the cool evening in one), a very well appointed dining area that served a chef prepared breakfast - my wife and I both ordered the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs - delicious. Close to Inverness, right on Loch Ness, and a few km from highland cows! A total treat - my highest recommendation.”
