"The staff were very helpful and happy to chat and offer advise of the local area. We eat dinner the service was great and the food was good too. Rooms were clean and tidy bathroom was immaculately clean. Breakfast had everything we wanted . We enjoyed our 2 night stay."

"The room & staff were fine. Not fine is that my receipt says we paid for a free breakfast as an "included amenity" when per the guests guide in the room that only applies to bookings from 2024. Worse, it's STILL shown as an included amenity on hotels.com, more than 1 year after it became no longer available. I left a hotels.com message with The Plough on 4 Feb 2026 advising them, but have not had the courtesy of a response. We didn't receive several hundred pounds worth of breakfast during our 20 day stay, so we're quite unhappy"
