"A truly delightful hotel in a convenient location with excellent staff and facilities. Impossible to fault overall - 2 tips… dont park under the trees in front of the building. I dont know what the birds eat, but they eat A LOT of it. Then theres steps….pack light, you’ll be hauling your luggage up a LOT of steps :-) - its a 13th century manor house, lifts werent a “thing” !"

"The location and price of the hotel are excellent. The young man who greated us was very nice and our rooms were clean and modern. It’s not the Four Seasons but I think it was fine for the price considering everything else in Oxford Town Center is double the price or more. The rooms are above a nightclub which had loud music until 1:30 AM. The entrance to the hotel is very hard to find with only a paper sign on the door. "We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. No welcome package was a bit of a shame as this has become pretty standard for holiday cottages and the garden was overrun with bindweed...

"Despite being on the road the property was unexpectantly quiet. Once you get used to fact you are underground is a great place to stay. Had challenges with the door - never figured out how to close it after me when going out. Rang the number provided but nobody picked up."
