“We stayed in the Cally Palace hotel many years ago when it was a luxurious and special place to stay. Unfortunately it is now in a state of disrepair both externally and internally. The bedrooms rooms badly need to be updated from their 1970/80s wallpaper and furniture. The lampshade in our bedroom , number 54, had part of the “glass” missing, a cracked wash hand basin and the carpet threadbare in places. The room itself was a great size but so uncared for. “not many places to eat in town, recommend booking evening meal in advance at busy times bathroom had good quality fittings it is a room above a pub in a rural location breakfast was well made. good porridge. scrambled eggs were made with cream and very tasty there is a spar nearby which is open late”

“Staff were super friendly and helpful. Hotel seemed newly renovated and was clean and comfy. Room had some extra amenities than most hotels, which we loved. Friendly locals and good food!”
