"Check-in had a long line and was tedious. After a pre check-in I needed to stand in the line again to get my key. Everything else was good and we enjoyed the stay."
"I was pleased with my stay at Point A London Kings Cross. The location was great and granted easy access to the train station and other shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was quite comfortable."
"i had a great stay at this place since it was only for two nights. the staffs were helpful, accommodating, the lobby was spacious to chill, talk with your friends, and i loved how it was in the SOHO area.
nonetheless, if you are only staying for 1-2 nights, and a solo, this would be ideal for you. again, you only get a pod - your nest which is a small private room. additionally, there are not many amenities included in your stay, e.g., microwave, fridge, but they have towel, good wifi, and AC.
overall, i had a great stay and sleep."
"The property is in a good neighborhood, easy to get to, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very good, especially the bed and the amenities"
"This is a good hotel. We were looking for something centrally located, clean and comfortable. If that is what you are looking for, this hotel will work.
Bloomsberry is a good location, close to The British Museum (15 minute walk) and West End theatres (about 20 minute walk). Two tube stations are a short walk away, although not necessarily the most convenient stations in terms of transfers. Russel Square Station (Picadilly line only) and Holborn Station (Picadilly and Central lines - Picadilly line serves Heathrow airport) are both "around the block" from The President . Next time I go to London I will consider staying closer to a different tube station. One with more lines/transfers.
The President hotel is about a 15 minute walk to King Cross Saint Pancras (Eurostar train to Paris, Amsterdam…).
Now... if you visit during summer, please bear in mind that NONE of the rooms at the President Hotel have air conditioning. They do have oscillating fans and the windows open "just enough" so you can get some air circulating at night.
As an American traveler, I guess I am spoiled and didn't even occur to me to check for A/C before booking. So, do yourself a favor and check the average temperatures for the time of your visit and book accordingly!
The breakfast served at the President is very good and priced very reasonably compared to the restaurants near by. I regret not booking the room with breakfast included."
"Loved our stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (shout out to Siobhan at the front desk!). We opted for the included breakfast which was delicious (eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, fruit, beans, coffee, tea, juice). The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We did travel during the heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the room was tough to sleep in but the provided fan and requested fridge in the room helped us cool down. The location is excellent and easily accessible via walking and transit. Our room faced the road and while there was some noise from the windows being open, it wasn’t anything unusual for us coming from another major city (except for when England won one of their World Cup games - that was loud and exciting!). We would definitely stay here again when we return to London in the future!"
"Funky relaxed hotel with a bar downstairs and very quiet room, but I had to wait ages to check in, my room wasn't ready, was left sitting in the bar and had to keep asking for my room. Once allocated, it was very clean, arty and a bit different, there was a Marshall amp so you could play guitar, mobile things hanging from the wall by the bed and what looked like a block of ice lol for the toilet and shower. Ice Bear from We Bare Bears would approve.
I found it really cold the air con, especially at night, heating had been switched off, normally in this boiling weather Im fine but I had to order a fan heater as I was shivering and had pain in my hip from the window. I did switch the air con off and reception did say theyd put the heating on for me. Thats not something I've had before, actually Im usually sweltering lol.
There was no chair in the room, just a stool, and tea and coffee had to be made in the corridor, they had a very nice selection of brews but I had an early start and had to drag myself out and down bleary eyed and decidedly not bushy tailed to get a coffee lol.
It is a very nice, arty and clean hotel the key cards are beautiful and its super quiet being in a side road but for me it was just too cold for some reason."
"Good hotel but:
It was during the heat wave in July and even if the AC was set to minimum the room was still warm. A ventilator was already in my room and it helped but would have slept faster and better if I was able to get the room to be cooler.
2nd negatives is the gym which has only cardio, no free weight, bench or weight machine.
Rest is A-1"
