“親戚の家に泊まる様な感覚でとても快適でした。個人的には最低限のマナーというのを理解していない人には泊まってほしくないです。宿までの道のりが分かりにくいので、道端にある看板には要注意です。可愛い警備ニャンがいますが、ビビりちゃんです。”

“I rent a car so, the location of the lodge doesn't matter. I planned to go another island so booked only for 1 day, but due to the weather/sea situation, I needed to stay in Hachijojima one more day. In the same lodge, there wasn't any vacancy but the staff helped a lot to find another place. Thank you! Not everyone but some staffs could communicate within English so it was also very helpful. ”

“Even though I received confirmation email after booking and a message from the hotel in the Expedia app outlining all the details for meals and amenities a week prior to check in, when we arrived at the hotel the front desk couldn’t find our reservation. The hotel was fully booked and had to put us in a room that was under renovation, which means no air conditioning in August. And of course no meals provided and no in-room hot spring tub. “Located right across from the beach within a 5 minute walk from beach umbrella/chair rental. We arrived early. The front desk lady allowed us to check in at 2pm and offered beach towel for us to play on the beach while waiting for the room to be cleaned. There are two outdoor public hot spring tubs that can be locked for private party use, which was a plus at the end of the day. There were even Japanese bath robes for guests to use, a pleasant surprise. The owners also offered to pack us...
