Positives: Clean room, good breakfast, nice location downtown. I like the black bear in the lobby. Negatives: The wifi was so weak that it would not stay connected to either my phone or my computer. When I said something to the desk clerk, she offered a lame excuse - she said that some laptops just don't connect very well, but phones do connect well. That was wrong, neither device would connect. When I checked out, I mentioned it to a different clerk, who apologized. The water in the shower kept cycling between too cold and too hot.

Great place if you like everything very old- notice there is old and sophisticated but this place was old and outdated. The hallways in my floor smelled like pee. Good people just a place I really don’t want to comeback again.

Positive: - The hotel is clean and centrally located. - It has some flair of the 70s (including the rooms). Negative: - Although you pay an extra energy fee, warm water for a shower was not available before 06:30. - Checkout at the evening before leaving took me 20 minutes. That was the time the receptionist needed to print the bill correctly. - Although there is a 24 h service, when leaving early morning, I had to run and search the receptionist to unlock the main entrance. I nearly missed my train.

Mir hat die Ausgewogenheit zwischen dem Alter des Gasthofs und der modernen Einrichtung gefallen. Etwas gestört hat mich, das gegenüber meines Betts der gruselige Jenaer Drachen, eines der sieben Wunder, hing. Aber witzig war es schon.

Zimmer Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen

Gute Lage nah zum Zentrum, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Hotel hat eine fast 500 jährige Geschichte und historisches Flair. Zimmer müssten trotzdem mal ener Renovierung unterzogen werden. Interieur und Badeinrichtung schon ziemlich abgenutzt. Man muss die kompletten Übernachtungskosten direkt im Voraus beim Check in bezahlen.Parkgebühr beträgt 10 Euro pro Tag. Im Hotelrestaurant bekommt man gutes traditionelles Essen. Allerdings war es jetzt in der Vorweihnachtszeit immer sehr voll und das Servicepersonal völlig unterbesetzt.Lange Wartezeiten mussten in Kauf genommen werden.

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Hotel. Leider war die Empfangsdame nicht immer freundlich aufgestellt und schaute lieber in den PC oder auf den Boden als Guten Tag zu sagen. Die Badewanne war leider schmutzig und für uns unbenutzbar gewesen. Eine Steckdose beim Eingangstüre war total kaputt wo wir für ein Hotel mit diesen Sternen ersetzt werden sollte. Das Bett war aber sehr bequem.

Ich habe für ein unheimlich kleines Zimmer 81€ ohne Frühstück bezahlt, obwohl ich schon 3 Monate vorher gebucht hatte. Bezahlung wollte man sofort, ohne dass ich das Zimmer gesehen hatte. Das Bad hatte max. 2qm, das Zimmer ca. 4qm. Ich habe noch nie in einem so winzigen Zimmer übernachtet. Es befand sich in einer Abstellkammer, wo normalerweise bzw. früher die Gerätschaften und Utensilien der Zimmerreinigung untergebracht sind/waren. Ausblick war auf eine Mauer 1m gegenüber. Man hört Geräusche von den darüber und darunterliegenden Zimmern und der sehr lauten Klimaanlage. Das ausländische Personal war sehr freundlich, das deutsche Personal eher reserviert und gar nicht serviceorientiert. Parkplätze des Hotels sind zudem kostenpflichtig (9€ p.T), Frühstück kostet extra (17€). Von den 4 Sternen habe ich nichts gemerkt, bis auf dass die Einrichtung ganz hübsch war. Kein Pool, Sauna, Wellness u.ä. Insgesamt halte ich das Hotel für völlig überteuert in Anbetracht der winzigen Zimmer (Abstellkammer) und Extra-Kosten. So wurde ich beim Auschecken auch nicht gefragt, wie es mir gefallen hat. (ich war immer freundlich und hatte mich nie beschwert) Nie wieder!
