“I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this Kempinski property. I had previously encountered an issue where my child’s age was incorrectly set to a default of 2 years old in other bookings on Hotels.com. To avoid this, I sent a message 10 days prior to check-in to clarify that the actual age is 11, but I received no response. Upon arrival, I was told a cradle had been prepared for my room.

“The rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also in a good location and you don't have to go out to dine if you don't want to.”

“Everything about our stay was lovely. The room was gorgeous, the bed really comfy, the view of the Danube and autumnal trees was beautiful and the shower was great. Real coffee and being able to play music from our phones over the TV speakers were an extra bonus. We thought we might try and save money by breakfasting elsewhere but changed our minds after trying it on our first day. It was delicious and good value when you add up all the extras that were involved.”

“The outside temperature during my stay was over 40°C, but my room stayed at a suffocating 30°C. The air conditioning was practically non-existent. To make matters worse, I had paid hundreds of euros extra to upgrade to a castle view. Their only solution? They nonchalantly asked, 'Do you want to try using a fan?' For a 5-star hotel charging exorbitant rates, this is unacceptable. In fact, the hallway was actually cooler than my room. The absolute peak of this nightmare was breakfast. I found a...
