夜ご飯食べる所が島内には無かったが、ホテルから鹿児島行きのフェリー乗り場が近いので、フェリーに乗ってご飯を食べに行くという貴重な体験ができた。 ホテルはそれなりに年季が入っているが、清潔にしてあるし、お風呂も広いのでゆっくりできた。

素泊まりで利用しましたが、近くにコンビニとスーパーがあります。 大浴場（温泉）は23時までです。 フェリー乗り場からは徒歩8分くらいで便利です。 和室の部屋を利用しましたが、きれいで気持ちよく過ごせました。

お部屋が残念

お部屋の洗顔ホームの容器が汚れていたり、床のシミやクローゼットの傷の補修がされてなかったり、 多分すぐ直せることがしてないような感じでした。 朝食のレストランでハエが飛んでいたことも気になりました。今回朝食付き1万円以下で泊まっているのであまり言えないかもしれませんが。 温泉の泉質はとても良かったのと、お庭が広くて桜島が良く見えたのはとても良かったです。

私は足が悪く、旅行などの遠出は車椅子を利用します。 更にこの時はを腕を骨折していて、旅行をキャンセルしようかとも思いましたが、医者も普通に暮らしていて良い！ と言ったので旅行に行きました。　 その骨折は一般的なものとは違って、既に２回も手術をして、旅行後に最後の大変な手術をしなくてはいけませんでした。 なので、何をするにも大変な状況でした。 同行者と別の部屋を予約していたのですが、梅が使えないので一部屋に二人で泊まるので、もう一部屋は泊まりたい人がいたら使ってください。 と話しましたが“どちらのお部屋に泊まられてもよいので、もう一つの部屋も空けておいて良いですよ“とご配慮いただきました。 夕食も、１日目はかんぱち御膳などにしましたが、＋３０００円でパッケージツアーの人が食べているコースに変更できますよ！ とのことでお願いしました。 とても美味しくて器も素敵で国民宿舎とは思えません。 部屋ももちろん綺麗で、それなりの広さがあります。 眼の前は錦江湾で景色も最高です。 貸切風呂もできるので、温泉に家族に入れてもらうことも出来ました。 温泉には何十年ぶりに入れました。 素敵な旅をありがとうございました！

Easy 6 minute walk from ferry. Incredible value for off season rate in late March that included an multi course , visually beautiful Japanese Kaiseki dinner and breakfast made of thebfreshest, delicious ingredients and served by a delightful diningroom staff. We were the only Western tourists there, but the reception staff know enough English to graciously assist you. They were kind enough to check us in 45 minutes early on a rainy day, without an extra fee. The onsen attendants didn't speak English and were a little flustered when we showed up to bathe at 8:25am (it closes at 9:00am) She tried to discourage us from entering, doubting that you will be done in time, but we pantomimed that we understood and would be done well before 9:00am. Unfortunately we had a very noisy family with children next door to us who didn't quiet down until 10pm. Futons in the room are thin, so we stacked them two and three high. Room had lovely water view. Easy access to the 3km path along the bay for wonderful birdwatching, feral kitties and lava geological features.
