"This is a rather old hotel. It took us a while to locate it, because the name of the hotel was changed. Onsens were very dark, small and uninviting. Buffet dinner and breakfasts were plentiful in volume, but not in quality. It did not offer hardly any fresh sea foods. "

"Atmosphere is amazing!! Your shoes will be stored at the locker at the lobby, going around the tatami floor of the entire building makes me feels like at home. Room and areas through out the hotel is clean and nice. Onsen is top notch. Also a free late night Ramen per night of stays was delicious. However, laundry (drying machine) instruction in english is not correct, plus most front desk personnel does not understand english, which created a bit of a run around to get things right. "

Don't be misled by the "hostel" designation of this guest house - it is really a boutique, luxury residence in the heart of Daikon Island. First and foremost, the guesthouse owner, who speaks very good English, was very kind and drove me around the whole day. "It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

"Owner is very nice, they provide free Onsen which is hot enough and they also allow me to go shower and onsen after I check out to hiking on Daisen. The location is very close to bus stop, very convenient."
