"Kamakura is a charming upscale coastal town and Hotel Metropolitan Kamakura contributes to it. Sleek, understated very well kept and right on the main street, close to countless restaurants and walking distance to the ocean and a magnificent shrine. Rooms are spacious and well appointed with every amernity one could imagine. Pajamas and hot pot and silverware for in-room comfort, and right next to a Lawson convenience store. Front desk is very accommodating and strives to meet western guests needs. Laundry onsite easy to use. If you're coming to Kamakura this is the place to stay."

"As soon as we walked through the door, the staff was right there to collect our luggage and help us with the registration process. A desk clerk walked us to our room with our luggage. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The only drawback for our extended stay was the lack of drawers to store clothes. A cabinet with a few drawers would have been very helpful. The businessman, who is there for one night, would not need the storage. The hotel was conveniently located near the railway station making sight-seeing very easy. The hotel was also very quiet. We were never bothered by unwelcome noise during the night."

"We stayed here before catching a Cruise. The hotel is an excellent location. Across from a beautiful waterfront park. Within view of the cruise terminal. Walking distance to a most excellent Chinatown and other fantastic touring options."

"Very convenient location. 3 minute walk from Ōfuna station and close to many restaurants & shopping centers with a 7-Eleven right behind the hotel. The rooms are clean and service is good. They provide many useful ameneties for free including bath bombs which we always grab a few to bring back home. The paid breakfast buffet is okay, wish they had more variety. The only problem I can think of is the air conditioning control panel is all in difficult Japanese which translator apps can't translate so you'll need help using it unless you can read Japanese."

"The hotel was very nice the staff was super helpful and nice the restaurant was good the rooms stayed nice and clean I would a hundred percent recommend this hotel and the area around it was nice there is plenty of places like the convenient stores the shuttle bus was nice and quick. So stay here if want to stay close to Haneda airport."
