"We stayed for three nights after our hiking trip and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The breakfast buffet was outstanding — a huge selection of fresh, local dishes that felt truly farm-to-table quality. We loved it so much that we decided to try the dinner buffet too, and it was just as delicious. We also enjoyed the spa services and one of the local tours offered by the hotel — both were excellent. The staff deserves special mention: every single person we met was pleasant, smiling, and genuinely cared about our comfort. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure every guest was happy. The gorgeous morning views were the perfect bonus to an already amazing stay. "This was the perfect resort to stay in post our Everest Base Camp trek. The rooms were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We received excellent service from the restaurant staff, the spa services were high quality and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. All in all we loved our stay at the Terraces and would recommend this as a great get-away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu / Thamel. Note that the road to the resort is steep and windy and I would recommend booking the transfer through the hotel as they have a Jeep and a very good driver. "

"Don't forget there is a 1800 rupees fee to enter the square and you need your passport but you can get a pass the last as long as your visa. If staying over 5 days you need a passport size photo for you pass card. The hotel is clean and tidy. The breakfast is great, the views from the roof are great if the weather is clear Sit on the roof with your early morning coffee and watch the square come to life, when the locals use it for worship. Nothing is too much trouble for the hotel staff if you need anything from them just ask, clean towels, extra toiletries or a taxi."
