It was a pleasure staying here, and I would definitely come back. The place was exceptionally clean—honestly one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in.
The only downsides were the pillows and the bed. The pillows were too firm and thick, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.
Overall, a lovely place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to others!
Great base to go from and the accommodation does exactly what you need. Everything was spotless and in good condition really nice touch having the BBQ as well will come back
Lovely pet friendly accommodation. Everything was clean and comfortable. Local to loads of different walks and amenities. Couldn't fault anything with the property, the BBQ and pizza oven were an added bonus. Wonderful for a weekend away to explore the Lakes.
Great location couldn't believe how good the views were, absolutely breathtaking. Met the owner whilst there. He was brilliant and friendly nothing was any problem. Very kind and nice man. Would recommend it 100% to anyone. One happy customer and his dog Buddy.
This was a perfect get away , so peaceful . We stayed in stable 1 , two adults and our dog. Lovely comfy beds and pillows, duvet. Enough room for shorter stay. Everything was catered for . We had a lovely fire pit and BBQ outside the stable which we used . Views are amazing . Lovely pub a short walk down the road called the Punch Bowl , lovely food, wines, staff were so friendly . You’ll need a torch to walk home if it’s dark which we had been told about . Situated perfectly for getting to main attractions. Can’t fault our 2 night stay and would definitely return.
Really lovely place to stay for a few days, we did have a leak under the bathroom sink which we reported but no response, but it didn't bother us as we put a bowl underneath it.
We had a nice stay on the whole the property was really cute and the facilities were good. Cooking on the BBQ was refreshing and waking up to sheep was a break from the norm.
However, we did think the property needed some attention.
On arrival we found the key safe was broken and a screw had been put in place of the lever to open the box.
The shelf in the door of the fridge was broken so this limited what we could put in the door shelving.
There was a stain on the bed sheet which looked like dried blood, however we told the maid the next day and she was very helpful and happily replaced the bed sheet.
One of the ladder runs for the bunk bed was loose so it twisted when stood on.
The pug socket outside the bathroom was cracked and the front of the socket box was loose.
The bathroom sink tap was loose so you had to hold the tap down while turning it on or moving it from hot to cold.
The internal bathroom handle was broken and fell off when touched.
And there were a few areas that needed touching up.
As I said before we had a nice stay over all and if these areas were improved we would have no hesitation in staying again. But as others have said if you are a light sleeper then the regular trains will keep you awake
If you are dog owner, this accommodation is for you. A truly dog friendly site.
Great location, with a great pub in walking distance.
Well appointed, clean and warm.
The hosts were discreet but chatty/helpful when we met them outside with their Spaniel.
Would recommend.
