“Historic property in the centre of Marlborough. Very convenient for the town and a good base to explore the local area.
Food was good and staff helpful although they were busy. Room was well equipped and only thought was that it was looking a bit tired decor wise. Very comfy bed so no complaints. Would definitely stay again.”
“There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”
“The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price.”

The room was well presented, clean and spacious and despite being near a busy road was very quiet. The food served in the pub was simple, fairly priced and delicious. The location was brilliant with Coate Water tucked behind so we enjoyed a couple of beautiful walks by the lake. I would definitely recommend The Sun Inn and look forward to returning.”
