We arrived at the Talbot Inn during major renovations. The inn keeper truly loved this historic old building and accommodated us with a privet tour of the old rooms. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed so we didn’t get the hole experience. The World’s Oldest Bourbon Bar was open and the bartender was knowledgeable and fun. She went to the back room and pulled a bottle of King for us to try. Wow was that amazing. She was Kentucky proud and knew her town. Our room was a hidden...

I mean it was a hotel like many others. Clean and friendly staff all around. But the one thing this hotel stands out from all others we stayed in is the staff at the breakfast buffet.
