The owner was stingy with the electric and lied to us and told us that the air-conditioning/hot water wasn’t working.She told us to be mindful of the kilowatts that we’re using. "The Penthouse is a blissful experience and if you need anything Gilbert will ensure your get it. We asked if he could get us snapper and vegetables for dinner and he organised for it to be delivered and grilled for us by an onsite chief. It was delicious 10/10 and we could continue our holiday without worrying about food. Swahili house is everything we were looking for, Diani beach experience but more peacful without the crowds. "As expected given the price this is far from an upmarket area. The rooms were small but clean. Initially I was given a not very nice room with an ensuite that was more like an alcove with no shower but was fortunately moved to a better one. We had to navigate building works to get into the property and then walk on a raised wooden walkway. The place was clean and the staff pleasant and helpful"

"they seem to need to upgrade their utilities, wifi was hard to keep connected to, no water on one day, no hot water in the mornings, but was corrected by end of our stay, electric seemed it reset on a daily base short span for about a minute at night but the last night went out for 2 hours. the beach is not private it is semi private, meaning part of the beach was rope off from vendors but as soon as you past the rope to enter the ocean you were at the vendors mercy. But beside the above problems the facilities was very nice. pleasant and kind personal, great atmosphere and yes i would stay there again in the future knowing what I know now and hopefully they have correcteed their issues with the utilities, I stayed in room 5103"
